My DLA care and mobility (previously middle care and higher mobility) have been withdrawn with immediate effect following my medical assessment for ESA, despite the fact that I am appealing. Means another appeal and potentially ANOTHER tribunal. I can ask motability if I can keep the car until the appeal/tribunal is held, but THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES.
Based on that dratted doctor's report, I have lost ALL benefits.
Appeal forms are in the post to me.
I am too upset to ring Motability today.
I am devastated.

Dear Jan,
I felt so upset for you when I read your post about having your D.L.A
taken away from you!
Please, please appeal!
Wishing you loads of luck,
Fiona

Thank you Liz. I have good friends and family thank goodness. My word, if you were on the edge, this would tip you over for sure. It's certainly pushed me closer to it, but my lovely friends on the forum keep me back from the abyss. Just.
thanks for the suport,

Fight them all the way Jan, get as much support as you can muster from CAB, local MP, medical evidence etc. and don't let the b******s grind you down!

LOCAL MP - thats a good idea,
can other MPs help too? only I'm pretty sure our MP is the shadow mp for disabilities..... Mark Harper....
I'm not very up on politics.....
...but just before a general election certainly seems good time to gather support...

http://www.markharper.org/

i've just had a v quick look through his website, reminds me... i need to contact him about sponsorship for our run....,
there is a least one article highlighting the necessity for increasing awareness in the agencies - it is noted that not enough employees in DWP etc have a disability and this is not helpful when raising awareness issues,

i hope you dont have to wait too long for answers Jan but meanwhile
..keep well AWAY from that abyss Jan because you are not in this alone - we're all right here with you xxxxx
